I like to think of myself as the Princess of Mars. For multiple reasons that perhaps extend beyond normal interactions with others, but a distance I've always felt with this planet. Not a negative disconnect, but a lonely one.
I composed this piece with that sort of disconnect in mind. A look at the world with a longing to belong, understand, and accept differences in myself and in others. Maybe it's impossible, which the tone to the piece changes back and forth with this idea in mind.
At the very least, I hope you enjoy... and just maybe someone will feel a little less lonely today.
